Llangollen International Eisdteddfod
I have been so lucky in my career to have been invited to participate in some truly memorable and high profile events, one of these being as an adjudicator at Llangollen for three years, judging the Musical Theatre Cup, as well as sitting-in on the Panel for the International Choir Award. One year we even had a Glee Choir competition, which was such fun and brought together young people from all over the UK and even from the USA.
University of Wales-Trinity St David
As a result of my adjudicating in Lallngollen, i was approached by the director of the Festival to see if he could nominate me as an External Examiner for UWTSD where he was head of two Musical Theatre courses for both Welsh and English speaking students. I am glad to say that i was duly appointed for three years.
They offer a BA Musical Theatre course which is a unique two-year intensive programme offering practical training aimed to equip participants in the ‘triple-threat’ disciplines of acting, singing and dancing, and also being the only Musical Theatre undergraduate programme in Wales.
The MA is a highly practical and intensive 1 year postgraduate programme offering training to develop professional artists’ of the future. The programme not only concentrates on acting, singing and dancing; but also gives students the opportunities to develop Directing skills and Physical Theatre training. The degree can be tailored to the specific student and gives the opportunity to develop as a unique artist.
